Potato

Excuse the pun, but Blackadder II really seemed to have found its sea legs with the third episode, Potato. The Queen has a new friend in court, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Edmund Blackadder is not at all happy about it.

So, after some not so friendly banter between the two, Blackadder decides that he must go on a trip to somewhere exotic. Firstly, he needs an able seaman, so it's off to a local tavern to find one. He finds a seaman, but he's not so able, this Redbeard Rum (played excellently by former Dr Who and current Little Britain voice over star, Tom Baker) - he has no legs.

So off they go, Blackadder, Redbeard, Percy and Baldrick. Initially, Percy especially is concerned that they won't be returning home. Of course Blackadder has other ideas - they're off to the south of France for six months to 'get a good suntan, come home... and get all the glory'. But it wouldn't be Blackadder if things didn't go horribly wrong...
