Bang Bang, It’s Reeves and Mortimer

First aired between 1 January 1999 and 5 February 1999 there was just one series of this show made. Chronologically, it comes after the boys had started with Shooting Stars and is a return to the sort of show that they were making before Shooting Stars. Some of the ideas and characters from The Smell of... were retained, notably the Stotts and their bonkers interviewing of stars - Sinead O'Connor, Paul McKenna and Michael Winner all got the treatment. The show also featured pre-recorded sketches with the likes of Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Morwenna Banks and Charlie Higson.

It is reported that Vic and Bob consider Bang Bang, It's Reeves And Mortimer as the work that they are most proud of - even though critically it wasn't quite as well received as their previous work - especially Shooting Stars. Not me though, I loved it.
