Fawlty Towers

Written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, this show set the standard for the British Television Sitcom which is still relevant now. First aired in September 1975, it almost a fable, but it's true, there are only 12 episodes. So tightly written and scripted are they, not to mention superbly acted, it's likely that you will see something different each and every time you watch an episode, no matter how many times you do so!

And of course there are the anagrams. Or rather seemingly random collections of all or some of the letters in the words FAWLTY and TOWERS in the title sequence. The only true anagram - i.e. all the letters, not necessarily in the right order was used in the fifth episode of the second series, 'The Anniversary'. It's rude so I probably shouldn't use it here, but I will anyway so here goes... FLOWERY TWATS.
